In order to invite people to a Community, you must be an Owner or a Membership Manager of that Community.
QUICK TIPS:
On the page for the Community you want to edit, tap on the user icon in the top right corner. Then on the Members screen, tap the button in the top right to access the “Add New Members” page. (If you do not see a + sign, you do not have membership management permissions within the group.)
You have several options to add multiple members at once:
“Join Community” link:
Tap the “Get ‘Join Community’ Link” button, which will generate a link that you can send via email or text to anyone that you’d like to invite to your Community.
Please note that anyone with this link will be able to join your Community, so if it gets forwarded on beyond your original recipients, you may have people joining the group that you did not intend to do so. In this case, use the “regenerate link” button on this page to create a new link, which will deactivate the old link and ensure that no one else can use it going forward.
Share a QR code:
Tap the “Get Community QR code” button, which will generate a QR code image for the Community. Anyone with CommunityLoop can scan the QR code with their camera app. (If you’re trying to invite someone who doesn’t have CommunityLoop yet, make sure to ask them to download the app first).
You can also press the QR image and hold to save the QR code to your phone. If you’d like to add a large group of people to a Community all at once, you can then project the saved QR code onto a shared screen so that a large gathering could all join together.

From another Community:
To invite people from another Community that you manage, select the “From Another Community” button at the very bottom of the “Add New Members” screen. This will display a list of Communities in which you have member management permissions. Select the Community you want to pull from, and then tap the + sign to the left of each member you’d like to add to the new Community.
Please note:
Any members added using the methods above will default to the lowest level of membership permissions. If you’d like to change any of these for the new members, a Community Owner will need to adjust their permissions once they’ve joined the Community.
There are also plenty of ways to add a single new member to a Community.
Scan a QR code:
Make sure the person you want to invite has already installed CommunityLoop and registered their email address. On their CommunityLoop home screen, they’ll need to select the Settings wheel in the top left corner, followed by the “QR” button in the top right of the Settings page. This will display their unique QR member code on their screen.
Meanwhile, on the “Add New Members” screen on your phone, select “Scan someone’s QR code”. Use your phone’s camera to scan their QR member code, and this will automatically add them to the group.
Create invitation link:
Select the “Create invitation link” button, which will open up a new screen for you to set the appropriate membership permissions and then create a link that you can send to someone to join your Community. Please note that this link will only work once to invite a single person. If you want to generate a link to invite multiple people at once, please refer to the “Join Community” link section above.
Use email:
If you know your group member’s email address, you can invite them directly by tapping the “Use email” button. Here, you can either use the “Find in Contacts” button to import an email address from your phone, or you can type or paste the email address into the @ field.
From another Community:
To invite someone from another Community that you manage, select the “From Another Community” button at the very bottom of the “Add New Members” screen. This will display a list of Communities in which you have member management permissions. Select the Community you want to pull from, and then tap the + sign to the member that you want to add to your Community.

In order to add people to a Community using the admin website, you must be one of the following:
If you are a Membership Manager without Owner privileges, you will only be able to add people via the app.
Log into your account on the joynedapp.com/admin portal.
In the left-hand menu, click on “Communities”, and then choose the name of the Community that you would like to invite people to join.
In the top menu, click on the “Invitations” tab. This will open up a page with several different ways to invite people.
Invite using email:
Type or paste a single address or list of addresses into the “email addresses”, field. You can copy long lists of addresses directly from an existing document, spreadsheet, or any comma-separated list. Don’t forget to set the appropriate Owner, Poster, and Membership Manager permissions for the members you are adding. Then click the “Invite” button.
Any invitations that you send in this way will be displayed at the bottom of this screen in the Pending Invitations section.
Invite using a link:
There are two ways to invite people using a link on the admin portal, depending on whether you want to invite multiple new members at once or create an invitation for a single person.
QR Code:
You’ll see the current Community QR code displayed on the page. Right click on the image or select the “Download” button to save it to your computer. If you’d like to add a large group of people to a Community all at once, you can display the QR code onto a shared screen so that a large gathering could all join together.
Please note that anyone with this code will be able to join your Community, so if it gets forwarded on beyond your original recipients, you may have people joining the group that you did not intend to do so. In this case, use the “Update QR code” button on this page to create a new code, which will deactivate the old code and ensure that no one else can use it going forward.
At the bottom of the page, you’ll see a “Pending Invitations” list, which includes everyone you have invited to join the group via email or single-use link, but who has not yet accepted the invitation.
