Change your notification settings

About Notification Settings

When you first download Joyned, you will be prompted to “Allow Notifications” from the app. You can always change your global notifications preferences for Joyned in your phone’s Settings app. 

Within the Joyned app, you can then customise your notification preferences for each individual Community you belong to.  

Editing Your Notification Settings for a specific Community

First, open the community for which you’d like to change the notification settings, and tap on the icon with 3 dots in the top right corner. In the bottom menu that appears, tap on the text that reads “Notifications turned on/off". 

In the “Notifications Settings” menu that appears, you will be able to select from the following options: 

Enable notifications: 

• For all messages and posts (default setting)
• Only for important posts - you will only not receive push notifications for chat activity, but you will be notified about important posts

Disable notifications:

• Disable all notifications, but still show “unread messages” count within the app
• Disable all notifications and hide “unread messages” count within the a
