The “Show History” function in Joyned enables new Community members to see messages and Community activity that occurred before they were invited to the group.
The history settings available on Joyned are:
By default, new Community members will be able to see all Community activity starting from the moment they were invited (e.g. even if someone waits two weeks before accepting an invitation, they will still be able to see all group activity that occurred during those two weeks).
Please note: Only a Community Owner can make changes to the group’s History settings within the app. You can do this when creating a Community, or you can change the History settings of a Community after it has been created.
Open the community for which you’d like to change the History settings, and tap on the icon with 3 dots in the top right corner. In the bottom menu that appears, select the pencil symbol to access Community Settings.
On the Community Settings screen, scroll down to the “History” section and use the toggles to select the appropriate History settings.
Please note: In order to manage the History settings of a Community using the admin portal, you must be one of the following:
Log into your account on the my.joynedapp.com portal.
In the left-hand menu, click on “Communities”, and then choose the name of the Community for which you’d like to change the History settings.
Next, select the “Details” tab in the top menu.
In the “History” section on this page, select the appropriate History setting from the dropdown menu, and then click the “Save” button.
