Joyned Communities provide a way for you to centralise communication with the groups in your organisation. The different types of Communities are described below.
Public Communities
Public Communities function a bit like a news feed and can be used for one-way, top-down communication.
When these Communities are added to the Community Finder, anyone within your organisation will be able to find and join them without requiring an invitation.
Private Communities
Private Communities require an invitation from a Community Admin in order to join. These can be:
- One-way private Communities: Ideal for larger teams, one-way private Communities are used for top-down communication. Only Community Owners and members with posting permission can send messages within these Communities.
- Chat-enabled private Communities: All members can send messages and interact with each other.
Supercommunities
Supercommunities allow administrators to send one-way messages to more than one Community at the same time, ideal for managing a large team with several sub-groups within it.
- For example: If you run a musicians team that has separate chat Communities for your drummers, bassists, guitarists, and keys players, you might create an “All Musicians” Supercommunity to send information to all of these groups at once.
